Types of jobs for chefs
There is a wide range of different types of jobs for chefs and other culinary professionals. As well as hotels and traditional restaurants there are a variety of other opportunities for chefs both in the public and private sector.
Schools need chefs, as do other institutions such as residential care homes and hospitals. Staff canteens, film studios, cafes and social clubs all need chefs. The possibilities are endless. Everyone has to eat!
Chefs can also be self-employed as a personal or private chef or caterer.
