Becoming an interior designer

Many people think of interior designers as doing work similar to those in TV programmes such as Changing Rooms. Whilst many do in fact do this kind of work in people’s homes, there is also a big demand for those working in various industries.

Every major new hotel, restaurant, shop and office suite requires interior designers to decide how the premises should look. And there’s work all over the world for interior designers. Dubai in particular has many opportunities for professional designers. Most of these jobs require previous experience in a specialised area, such as in hotels or other areas in the hospitality industry.
